Duty of Care Conference to get to the heart of crew welfare concerns

The 3rd annual Duty of Care Conference 2019 will this year build on its breakthrough approach to seafarers’ welfare, which received such wide praise at last year’s event.

To be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 April, the conference will welcome 40 speakers and 300 delegates who put the welfare of their employees or students first.

Organised by International SOS Foundation and the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong, the dedicated maritime track has this year brought together a diverse selection of maritime stakeholders including key International SOS staff, P&I Clubs, ship managers, ship owners, and representatives of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and the Liberian Ship Registry.

The participants will be discussing the latest thinking and policy approaches to:

Health risks at sea

Crew welfare in the millennial era

A holistic approach to wellness

Mental health issues
