Chance for another bite of the shark exhibition at HKMM

The Hong Kong Maritime Museum’s highly successful summer exhibition, “On Sharks and Humanity” has been extended until 31 December.

Presented by Parkview Arts Action and co-curated by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, ‘On Sharks and Humanity’ is an exhibition demonstrating the relationship between art and society, and emphasizing the social responsibility of museums and artists.

29 sets of artworks created by different artists will remain on display inside and outside the museum.

The contemporary art exhibition, sponsored by Hong Kong Parkview and in partnership with the international non-profit organization, WildAid, aims to raise public awareness of shark conservation in Hong Kong and the Greater Pearl River Delta region. The exhibition is the fifth edition of a multidisciplinary exhibition curated by internationally lauded curator Huang Du that has been shown in Monaco, Moscow, Beijing and Singapore to great acclaim.

Thanks to the beneficence of local shipowner David Koo of Valles Steamship Co Ltd, youngsters under the age of 18 enjoy free admission.
